Job Summary:

Hockey Academy in Maple Ridge needs a teacher for Tuesdays (1 hour between 9-11 a.m.), Wednesdays (2 hours 9-11 a.m.), and Thursdays (1 hour between 9-11 a.m.). The role involves working with Grade 3-7 students online in a classroom setting, with a teacher/tutor nearby for questions. The position runs from September to June, following the school district calendar and holidays.

Responsibilities:

- Assessing students' needs and developing a plan to help them succeed
- Assisting students with homework, projects, test preparation, and assignments
- Teaching skills to improve academic performance, including study strategies, note-taking skills, and approaches to answering test questions
- Providing students with positive and constructive feedback
- Offering feedback on progress to students' parents
