CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (MOTIVATOR)
Job Overview
The Customer Service Representative (Motivator) role is critical to the success of our GoodLife Fitness Clubs. This position involves creating a welcoming, clean and safe environment to help members achieve their fitness goals.
Main Responsibilities
• Provide exceptional customer service by being pleasant and present with every greeting and interaction.
• Greet members as they come into the club and check them in for their workout.
• Direct potential members to the correct resources or services.
• Handle incoming calls from members and potential members, answering the phone within three rings and taking messages or booking appointments.
• Assist members on the floor with questions about equipment and services.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of memberships and all club services and amenities, and be able to sell these products when opportunities arise.
• Use systems efficiently to answer member questions, resolve issues, update information, and sell memberships and services.
• Handle comments, suggestions, and concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
• Lead fit-fix starter sessions for new and current members.
• Maintain cleanliness standards by completing club runs and cleaning tasks as required.
• Complete additional tasks to provide an exceptional experience for members and guests.
• Participate in ongoing learning and attend monthly meetings.
Requirements
• CPR-A & AED Certification
• Smart Tan certification within 3 months of employment
• Interpersonal Savvy: Build relationships with diverse individuals, both internally and externally.
• Customer Focus: Meet expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
• Team Contribution: Be helpful to the team and volunteer to assist others.
• Approachability: Be easy to approach and talk to, and build rapport well.
• Knowledge of the fitness industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Superior customer service skills; ability to fully understand and embrace company culture
• Proficiency in the use of computers
• Previous customer service and sales experience an asset
