Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Designer to join our team. As a co-op student, you will assist with the end-to-end design process using Civil 3D for various municipal and infrastructure planning projects. Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with full-service design of Civil/Municipal engineering projects
• Participating in storm water management, site grading, sanitary sewer and water distribution system design
• Interpreting topographic information required for design
• Completing technical analysis of municipal infrastructure components
• Preparing quantity take-offs and cost estimates
• Compiling as-built records for design and record drawings

You will also have the opportunity to work closely with our consultant team, including electrical engineers, traffic consultants, environmental engineers, and geotechnical engineers.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
• An enrollment in a Civil Engineering degree program from an accredited institution
• Relevant internships or coop experience (considered an asset)
• A strong work ethic and motivation to succeed
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments
