The Opportunity

As a Junior Water Resources Engineer based out of our Surrey Office, you will support the Infrastructure Planning Group in performing urban water, sanitary, and drainage system modelling, including data management, model setup and calibration, and system assessment.

  • Support the development of infrastructure servicing plans for subdivisions, neighborhood, and city-wide areas.
  • Perform hydrological and hydraulic modeling and support the development of Water and Sewer Master Plans and Integrated Stormwater Management Plans.
  • Develop rainwater source control LID concepts and assist in LID designs.
  • Provide technical analysis in support of Civil engineering design associated with municipal water, sanitary sewer, drainage conveyance works, and hydraulic structures.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with minimum 2-3 years of related experience.
  • Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T) designation with EGBC.
  • Eligibility for Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) Designation with EGBC an asset.
  • Experienced in hydrological and hydraulic analysis and modeling using various techniques and modeling software.
  • Proficient in using Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Civil3D, ArcGIS, QGIS, PCSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, HEC_RAS, and other computer programs used for preparing reports, presentations, and designs.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
