The Lead Water/Flood Technician leads emergency response and restoration projects, ensuring insurance company and customer goals are met through IICRCS-500 Standard, while maintaining team efficiency and communication.

- Water pumping and extraction
- Mold remediation
- Moving and re-setting contents
- Selective demolition for drying process
- Debris disposal
- Setting drying equipment
- Carpet cleaning
- Moisture mapping of affected area
- Vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
- Construction of polyethylene enclosures
- Vehicle/ Housekeeping Safety and Maintenance
- Vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
- Equipment maintenance
- Good housekeeping and attention to detail
- Safe operation of machines and equipment
- Compliance with BELFOR policies and procedures
- Proactive communication of job site conditions
- Attending BELFOR sponsored training courses
- Lead Responsibilities
- Supervising On-Site Crews
- Leading and supervising residential, commercial, and industrial jobs.
- Ensures crew efficiency and job requirements fulfillment.
- Accurately records crew timekeeping, including break and lunch periods.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
- Completion and submission of daily hazard assessments.
- Communicates professionally with customers, subcontractors, and insurance companies.
- Inspects work at customer locations, ensuring quality and industry standards.
- Completely documents job activity.
- Acts as a representative for BELFOR.
**Required Qualifications**:
- IICRC certification for Water Restoration Technician (WRT) required
- IICRC certification for Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) an asset
- Previous construction, restoration or Insurance experience considered an asset
- Familiarity with chemical products including use, disposal, and Safety Data Sheets
- Comprehensive understanding of customer service, principles and practices
- Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR’s vehicle policy
- Ability to work within a team or independently as needed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-driven to achieve goals and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
- Basic computer and/or Tablet / iPad experience
- Willing to work evenings, on call and weekends when requested
- Periodic travel may be required
- Criminal Record Check
**Physical Demands**:
- Frequent lifting from 5-40 lbs, unassisted (from 35-65% of the time)
- Occasional lifting from 41 lbs +, assisted (up to 50% of the time)
- Access and mobility in tight spaces
- Fit Testing - half and full face mask as needed, annual certification required
- Working at Heights - over 5 feet, periodically
- Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling
