Overview:
We are currently looking for someone to join our team in the role of **Reporting and Analytics Specialist. **This position is based out of our corporate office located in the Waterloo, ON region, with hybrid remote working options available.
The **Reporting and Analytics Specialist **will work with key business leaders to identify, develop and deliver relevant data, reports and dashboards to support day to day, historical and future operations.
**This role will enable decision-makers to make evidence-based decisions, support growth efforts, and identify threats and opportunities through generating and delivering insights and trends.

What The Role Involves:
- Design, implement and foster a self-serve data driven environment. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and implement suitable, self-serve reporting and dashboard solutions that addresses current issues and anticipate future challenges
- Work with leaders to understand business objectives and associated KPIs - gather requirements, define and finalize reporting metrics and analytics
- Develop easy to use reports that provide timely data with a focus on mínimal manual manipulation
- Develop and maintain supporting documentation and/or training guides to assist users with reports and dashboards
- Conduct ad hoc data analysis and data quality investigations
- Develop tools to monitor and maintain high data quality standards
- Develop and manage scheduled reports
- Interpret and present data in a meaningful way
- Participate on committees and project teams as required
- Statistical analysis
- Knowledge translation
- Performs other duties as required.
What You Bring:
- University degree or college diploma in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, or related field
- 3-5 years previous related experience, ideally within the Healthcare industry
- Demonstrated understanding of business reporting analysis/documentation and business intelligence (BI)
- Knowledge of relational database concepts i.e. structures, theories, principles and practices
- Intermediate to Advanced SQL skills - proficiency with data analysis, manipulation and reporting tools
- Ability to turn data into strategic information to support evidence-based decision making
- Ability to understand and interpret the needs of the client and determine the best way to present data and reports
- Must be a team player, as well as comfortable working independently
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical associatesAbility to identify and clearly communicate problems, or support requests, in order to influence the prioritization of projects
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- A strong passion for analytics and reporting coupled with strong business acumen
