Seasonal Lead Merchandiser

The Seasonal Lead Merchandiser will assume a leadership role in creating an inviting and vibrant atmosphere within the Garden Centre.

This position requires individuals with a passion for gardening, strong experience in merchandising, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Training: Guide and motivate a team of seasonal merchandisers to deliver high-quality product displays and maintenance. Provide training sessions to ensure team members possess in-depth knowledge of products and merchandising techniques.
• Product Presentation: Collaborate with garden centre management to place and present products effectively, maximizing visual impact and driving sales.
• Inventory Management: Work with store management to monitor inventory levels, provide ordering feedback as needed, and conduct regular inventory counts to address discrepancies.
• CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT: Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting with inquiries, offering product knowledge, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Product Maintenance: Uphold visual merchandising standards by regularly inspecting and maintaining display cleanliness and organization.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in retail merchandising, with preference given to those with garden centre experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, demonstrated over at least 2 years.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Intermediate level proficiency in apps, technology, and reporting portals.
• Possession of a genuine passion for gardening and outdoor living.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, seasonal environment and perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, lifting up to 40 lbs, and bending on a regular basis.
