Job Description
Design Engineer - Civil/Municipal

We are seeking a Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Assisting with the end-to-end design process using Civil 3D for municipal and infrastructure planning projects;
• Participating in full-service design of Civil/Municipal engineering projects;
• Storm water management, site grading, sanitary sewer and water distribution system design;
• Interpreting topographic information required for design;
• Completing technical analysis of municipal infrastructure components;
• Preparing quantity take-offs and cost estimates;
• Compiling as-built records for design and record drawings;
• Assisting with contract documents for project tendering and executing project design drawings;
• Preparing storm water management quantity and quality calculations;
• Coordinating design with consultant teams, including electrical engineers, traffic consultants, environmental engineers, and geotechnical engineers.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:
• Enrollment in a Civil Engineering degree program from an accredited institution;
• Relevant internships or co-op experience (considered an asset);
• A strong work ethic and motivation to succeed;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.
