Position Overview

The Commercial Large Loss Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing day-to-day operations on large-scale, complex commercial restoration projects, particularly for national client accounts. You will lead and coordinate field crews and subcontractors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring strict adherence to safety and compliance protocols are key priorities in this role.

Key Responsibilities
• Facilitate on-site supervision of commercial restoration crews, ensuring work is completed on time, within scope, and meets client expectations.
• Support both short-term and long-term project planning by coordinating equipment, crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and materials for each project phase.
• Oversee field crews, verify daily timekeeping accuracy, and manage resources across multiple sites.
• Serve as the primary on-site liaison for national account clients, property managers, and subcontractors, providing clear communication and consistent project updates.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with safety standards, company policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Conduct site inspections to verify work progress, document daily activities, and promptly address issues or conflicts, escalating as necessary to Project Managers.
• Ensure thorough documentation of job scope, change orders, approvals, and project closeout materials.
• Assist with estimating and scope validation during initial assessments and change order processes.
• Support project leadership with gathering project data, scheduling, budgeting, and progress reporting.
•  Foster customer satisfaction by maintaining professionalism, building strong relationships, and ensuring prompt, accurate communication with clients, subcontractors, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure a safe, compliant work environment through hazard assessments, proper use and maintenance of tools and PPE, and active participation in safety training and initiatives.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial project supervision role
• Proven ability to manage crews, subcontractors, and resources across multiple project sites
• Strong knowledge of restoration processes, including water mitigation, structural drying, mold remediation, and fire damage recovery
• Understanding of customer service principles and practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with professionalism
• Strong organizational skills, capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of protecting client property and information
• Ability and willingness to travel regionally or nationally based on project needs
• Valid driver’s license and compliance with BELFOR’s Auto Policy
• 1+ years’ experience in construction, restoration, or insurance industries
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
• IICRC certification is an asset
