This is a dynamic opportunity to join our team as a Communications and Media Specialist. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective communication strategies that support our mission and goals.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing Communication Strategies: Create comprehensive communication plans that align with our organizational objectives.
- Content Creation: Produce high-quality content, including press releases, statements, digital media materials, and correspondence tailored to targeted audiences.
- Event Coordination: Organize and execute events, conferences, and webinars that promote our organization's mission and goals.
- Media Relations: Foster and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, media outlets, and other key stakeholders.
You will also be responsible for managing all social media channels and ensuring that our online presence is engaging, informative, and aligned with our brand.
About You- Post-secondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- A minimum of five (5) years' progressive experience in communications or media relations, with an emphasis on strategic communication, internal and member stakeholder relations, and digital change management in a child welfare, not-for-profit, or related environment.
