Engineering Designer - Co-op Program

Job Responsibilities

As a Co-op Civil Engineer Designer, your primary responsibility will be to assist with the end-to-end design process using Civil 3D for various municipal and infrastructure planning projects. This includes:

1. Full-service design of Civil/Municipal engineering projects
2. Storm water management, site grading, sanitary sewer and water distribution system design
3. Interpretation of topographic information required for design
4. Technical analysis of municipal infrastructure components
5. Quantity take-offs and cost estimates
6. As-built records for design and record drawings

You will also have the opportunity to work closely with our consultant team, including electrical engineers, traffic consultants, environmental engineers, and geotechnical engineers.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following requirements:

• Enrollment in a Civil Engineering degree program from an accredited institution
• Relevant internships or coop experience (considered an asset)
• Strong work ethic and motivation to succeed
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments
