Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a cooperative civil engineering designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will assist with the end-to-end design process utilizing Civil 3D for municipal and infrastructure planning projects. You will participate in full-service design of civil/municipal engineering projects, including storm water management, site grading, sanitary sewer and water distribution system design.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with the design process using Civil 3D software.
• Participate in the full-service design of civil/municipal engineering projects.
• Design storm water management systems, site grading, sanitary sewer and water distribution systems.
• Interpret topographic information required for design.
• Perform technical analysis of municipal infrastructure components.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Compile as-built records for design and record drawings.
• Assist with contract documents for project tendering and execute project design drawings.
Requirements
• Enrollment in a Civil Engineering degree program from an accredited institution.
• Relevant internships or coop experience considered an asset.
• Strong work ethic and motivation to succeed.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate flexibility in work assignments.
