Who we need

We are seeking a Director of Technical Operations (Site Reliability Engineer - SRE) and DevOps to lead our team of platform engineers. You will be responsible for designing, building, and operating a next-generation CI/CD pipeline in a hybrid environment, automating processes, and maintaining a talented team to develop a state-of-the-art DevOps and SRE platform to support IMAX's goals.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead a team of platform engineers
• Develop and manage departmental budget
• Handle administrative functions such as invoicing and capex requests
• Build and enhance CI/CD frameworks supporting multiple projects
• Manage version and configuration processes across environments
• Identify and implement automation tools and technologies
• Manage environment updates and migrations with minimal downtime
• Drive adoption of standardized SCM and CI/CD processes
• Recruit, develop, and retain talent for the DevOps team
• Collaborate with development teams to improve processes
• Participate in on-call support for AWS deployment pipelines
• Create infrastructure promoting high reliability

What You Bring

• 7+ years in software development, DevOps, SRE, and configuration management
• 5+ years with CI/CD pipelines and tools for on-prem and cloud applications
• Experience managing complex environments with multiple versions and strategies
• Strong understanding of DevOps across web, mobile, and cloud domains
• Scripting experience (e.g., Ant, Gradle, Maven)
• Experience with repositories like GitHub, Bitbucket, Google Cloud Source Repositories
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus, Ansible, GitLab
• Experience with Docker containerization
• Leadership skills with ownership, delegation, and team management abilities
• Creative problem-solving and research skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with cultural awareness
• Flexibility for 24/7 on-call support
