Housekeeper

We would love to hire a cook/housekeeper for up to 35 hours per week Mon-Fri with weekends off at $27.12/hour ($24 plus 13% tax). You would need your own vehicle (there’s no public transportation).
We are located in the town of “Perth road” near Inverary (not in the town of Perth). We are about a 25 min drive North of Kingston. We would provide 3 paid sick days and a paid lunch break. Start date could be as soon as possible.
The duties/tasks would involve: cooking (lunch & dinner- we would really like to find someone who is a great cook), meal planning and groceries, general tidying of the house/toys etc., general daily cleaning, rotating deep cleaning as needed (bathrooms, floors, kitchen, etc.), window washing as needed, dusting/baseboards/window sills as needed, laundry (including folding and putting away), making beds, organizing as needed, occasional running errands, weekly taking out garbage/recycling, breaking down cardboard boxes if needed, walking our dog daily even in the winter (if it’s not snow storming/raining). Our dog is a sweet/gentle 10 year old toy poodle. She is hypoallergenic.

We have a 5 bedroom house. There are currently 3 members in the family (we have a 4 year old), as well as our dog. We are also expecting; our baby is due near the end of July. Once the baby is born, it would be great if you are also able to do some occasional childcare/watching the newborn (e.g. so I can nap, drop off or pick up my son from school, or spend 1:1 time with my son after school while you watch the baby). Housekeeping would not be expected while childcare is occurring (it would be one or the other at a time).

Proposed hours would be from 11:30am-6:30pm or so, Mon-Fri, but this could be somewhat flexible, we are open to your ideas for a schedule. We would really like lunches and dinners made daily so we would want someone who is available until around 5-5:30pm. We are very flexible in terms of you wanting to take time off/unpaid vacation.

We require a vulnerable sector police check before starting. The interview process would be: 1) we would set up a virtual interview 2) if we are interested in you as a candidate we would ask if you would like to do a cooking/cleaning trial where you come to our house (paid) 3) we would ask for a police check (before officially offering you the position).
