Position Overview
As a Mitigation Technician, you’ll assist with emergency restoration efforts, performing structural drying, content cleaning, water remediation, and more—primarily following IICRC S-500 Standards. You'll work in residential and commercial settings, sometimes independently, and often as part of a team, ensuring fast, safe, and high-quality mitigation services that meet both client and insurance expectations.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform restoration services, including structural and content cleaning, in both on-site and warehouse environments
• Complete water extraction, moisture mapping, mold remediation, and demolition work per IICRC guidelines
• Document all restoration work thoroughly through photography and written records
• Maintain vehicles and restock equipment; ensure tools are in working order and stored properly
• Uphold safety standards by performing hazard assessments and reporting unsafe conditions
• Use and maintain PPE and follow health and safety protocols on every job
• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, adjusters, subcontractors, and teammates
• Support customer satisfaction by ensuring clear, respectful communication and high-quality results
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Understanding of customer service principles
• Detail-oriented and committed to protecting customer property and information
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle under BELFOR’s Auto Policy
Preferred:
• 1+ year experience in HVAC, construction, restoration, or other hands-on skilled trade
• Experience within the construction, restoration, or insurance industries
• IICRC certification(s)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
• Familiarity with restoration practices and job site safety protocols
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with professionalism
