Fire Assay Technician

**Title**: Assay Lab Technican
**Location**: Markham, ON
**Duration**: Permanent

**Responsibilities**:
Perform analysis as per established procedure in a safe and correct manner.

Report any problems or concerns re item 1 promptly to Assay Lab supervisor.

Assist with chemical based enquiries as requested.

Wear all assigned PPE equipment. Follow all environmental, health and safety procedures.

Use equipment such as an ICP, XDV, microgram balance and other scales, X-Ray based equipment, titration equipment, small rolling mill, miscellaneous hand tools and precision glass labware.

Knowledge of Fire Assay methods and ability to load and unload Fire Assay Furnace.

Work safety with aggressive, corrosive chemicals using fume hoods, etc. provided.

Ability to see colour change on titration.

Detail and precision oriented.

Perform pre-determined calculations.
