**Overview**
Clean Harbors **Brampton, ON** is looking for a **Retail Technician AZ Driver **to join their safety conscious team
This Driver will operate dry van trailers and straight trucks responsible for the transportation of non-hazardous & hazardous waste ( ie laundry detergent, household cleaners, expired liquids, etc) from retail customer’s facilities to a Safety Kleen facility and/or an outside disposal facility. Adhering to Ministry of Transportation/Transport Canada, the transportation of dangerous goods act (TDGA) and Ontario Hazardous Waste regulations. Offering room for growth, paid vacation, opportunity for overtime, and home nightly _(overnight paid travel may occasionally occur)_ for this **Class AZ Driver** opening.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Drive unit to and from client sites.
- Complete manual loading and unloading of products, hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste, this may occasionally be done with a forklift provided by the client.
- Adhere to weight limits and ensure proper utilization of Company equipment.
- Maintain, clean and ensure equipment is mechanically sound and in good working order at all times.
- Responsible for the proper placarding of vehicles to meet company and TDGA requirements/regulations.
- Responsible for maintaining daily logs, worksheets timecard, expense reports, dispatch & trip reports and vehicle inspection reports.
- Comply with Company policies & procedures and Health & Safety procedures, Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and Transport Canada, Reg 347 and TDGA.
- Yard duties, prepping trucks, and other tasks as required.
**Qualifications**
- Valid Class** AZ License required.**:
- Ability to drive up to an **18 speed manual transmission required.**:
- Previous** experience with Dry Van/Van Trailer required.**:
- 2 years of previous commercial driving experience is an asset.
- Previous experience segregating products and chemicals by Hazard Class is an asset.
- TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) is an asset.
- Previous experience hauling hazardous waste is an asset.
- Ability to occasionally travel overnight.
