The Role:We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Water Resources Engineer to support our Infrastructure Planning Group based out of Surrey Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing detailed modeling of urban drainage systems, including data management, model setup, calibration, validation, and thorough system assessment.
Key Responsibilities:- Model and simulate the hydraulics of urban drainage systems using specialized software (1D, 2D, and 3D)
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for the design of culverts, ditches, spillways, detention ponds, and enclosed drainage systems
- Lead the development and optimization of infrastructure servicing plans for subdivisions, neighborhoods, and city-wide areas
- Perform technical analysis in support of Civil engineering design associated with municipal water, sanitary sewer, drainage conveyance works, and hydraulic structures
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with minimum 6-8 years of related experience
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in BC with EGBC
- Proficient in using AutoCAD, Civil3D, ArcGIS, PCSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, HEC-RAS, and other computer programs used for preparing reports, presentations, and designs
